Michael Landy

I will begin with some words of wisdom from youtube user BigBlue:

"What a fucking loser. This guy is literally the catalyst for climate change - stupid prick." Michael Landy is a British artist known for several high profile performance art pieces. In 2003, he completed a series of 12 etchings collectively titled "Nourishment." They feature a variety of weeds. Image result for michael landy nourishment
This is "Creeping Buttercup." I really like the optimistic and happy vibe it gives off. I also appreciate how he almost makes the weed look like an alien plant-something unlike anything we have seen before. HERB ROBERT This is "Herb Robert." I like the subtle splash of color. For a moment, I wasn't sure whether it was colored or not! SHEPHERD'S PURSE 1 This is "Shepherd's Purse." The lines are clear and sharp, yet organic.

  1. Heck yes, Benjy. I dig the your choice in the more minimalistic choice in Landy's work, I feel like this was one of his more ambitious projects dispite it's overall simplicity. I like how you start this post in particular but in the context of the rest of the post it feels out of place. I feel like if you wrote a little more, it'd force your unique voice and perspective in a more interesting way from the standpoint of your reader.

    Bless that beard.
