Pretty in Plastic

Pretty in Plastic is an interesting "full service design and art fabrication studio"

They allow artists to make really cool things:

I like their whimsical design and appearance.

I especially like the one with the blue and green ball things

All of his work has a very mysterious vibe. He uses both abstract and representational imagery

Cornell Box

Joseph Cornell is an artist who makes pieces like this:

He uses

found objects to make his "Cornell Boxes"

I guess this is our next project...

I like this one in particular because of the use of color

This one is call Andromeda (Sand Fountain)

It's hard to see what's inside, but its cool, I guess.

These ones are more horizontal: They remind me of old paintings

They also have other visual similarities: The ball, the line thingy, pictures in the back.

Birdnesses

Constantin Brancusi 's "Bird in Space" is birdness at its most abstract: pure form
Gill Brown uses linear curves to create the impression of an ostrich.

This sculpture from an unknown artist uses a solid piece of material and defies expectations of what makes something a  bird by not including wings, and giving the impression of flight by including a constant upward tension.
